Court #1 = West Court 1. Courts open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. Let's keep our neighbors friendly. Peak hours are identified as Saturday and Sunday mornings 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Monday through Thursday 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. year round. 2. All court reservations will begin at the top of the hour. 3. Court #1 can be reserved year round, seven days a week, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except for Special Events. Only adults 18 or over may reserve this court during peak hours (7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) 4. Court #2 is open seven days a week, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., except for Special Events. Children 18 and under may use this court until an adult wishes to use the court. 5. Reservations cannot be made more than three days in advance except for tournaments, lessons sanctioned by the Club, and JCCA team matches, which should always be cleared in advance with the Tennis Chairman. Players wishing to play two consecutive hours of singles or doubles must have another member of the group reserve the court for the second hour. No person or group of a membership may play for more than one hour unless the court(s) is/are vacant, and others eligible do not wish to play. When four members constitute a doubles match, consecutively reserved court time is limited to two hours. A family membership may not reserve for more than one consecutive hour at a time. 6. An unreserved court may be used by any age group until someone who is eligible to play wishes to use it. At that time, the ineligible players should give up the court when the set is completed. 7. Once a court is reserved by a member, he/she cannot be "bumped" under any circumstances without their permission. 8. A court reservation is forfeited if not claimed within ten minutes of the reserved time. Official clock is located on wall under deck. 9. The reservation book will be available in the mailbox under the Tennis Hut. No reservations will be taken over the phone. 10. If you sign for a court and are unable to play, please remove your name from the reservation book or ask someone else to do so as soon as possible, so the others will have the opportunity to use the court. 11. Rotation during "Open Tennis" time must be made after the completion of one set. Order of play for "Open Tennis" will be determined by order of rackets in the fence. The first racket up gets the next available court and so on. That player may ask any other three players to play. No one may have a racket in the fence while he/she is still playing a set. 12. Doubles tennis will prevail during "Open Tennis". If only two people are available, singles will prevail until the set is completed. When enough people are available, doubles will be played. 13. Members are reminded that Kenner guests may be invited to use the facilities only twice a month. This includes the same guest being brought in by different members. Members should register their guest in the registration book before beginning to play. Guest fees should be paid to club personnel on duty or indicated in the registration book so that you can be billed. 14. Only tennis instructor(s) approved by the Board of Directors are authorized to give tennis lessons. Lessons are not allowed during peak hours, except Friday nights. The tennis instructor may not make court reservations. The reservation must be made by the member receiving the lessons in their name in accordance with the Tennis Rules and Regulations. The 72-hour reservation rule is waived for lessons during periods approved by the board. 15. All players are required to wear appropriate attire while playing. This includes shirts and tennis shoes. 16. Players must be at least 18 years old to be on the Men's or Ladies' Challenge Board. |
